Wrapping-up the Week
So, as many of you may have known, UBD FM is organising a charity event for SMARTER Brunei. The UBDfm SMARTER Race and Bazaar will be a fun-filled three day happening from the 25th to the 27th of March 2011.
Through out the event will be bazaars and a myriad of entertaining activities you can enjoy. The peak of the event will definitely be the SMARTER Race, which will be held on the 27th March 2011. Teams of four members will each brace their ways through the challenging obstacles diligently prepared by the student clubs of UBD along with the support of other organizations such as Brunei Darussalam AIDs Council, Katak Hijau and more. There are of course lots of fantastic prizes to be won, sponsored by various major establishments in Brunei Darussalam.
So, mark your calendars and don't miss out on this merriment for a good cause! But hey! Let's not stop there. There's a lot more happening over the weekend!
On Thursday, 24th of March 2011, the Twestival Brunei 2011 will happen at Gadong. So for you tweeps out there, this is something to look forward to! You can of course follow twitter.com/TwestivalBrunei for more details on that.
And for an even GREATER cause, do not forget that on the 26th of March 2011, it is the EARTH HOUR.
So, dont forget to switch your lights off for an hour by 8.30 pm on that Saturday. Little things like these matters, cause every little thing counts in this global campaign to conserve energy and fight against climate change.
And as UBD FM is committed to EARTH Hour, we'll be hosting an interview with a representative from the Earth Hour Brunei Committee on the 24th of March, Thursday 9pm. Don't forget to stream ;D
On another note, congratulations to @onefouronezero the winner of the Buffet Trunch Vouchers, courtesy of RBC Season's Restaurant.
And last but definitely not the least, the new media for the social Bruneian, anakbrunei ver 2.0 is up online. What does this have to do with UBDfm? Well, you can now stream The Station for The Next Generation from that website while browsing the latest Bruneian trends that you'd be interested in ;) That's killing two birds in one stone, which is pretty beneficial to you. UBDfm would like to send their warmest thanks to the world's technological advancements and of course Reeda Malik for embedding the player.
Guess that's a brief update about your Station for The Next Generation for this week. In regards to the global events, let's hope that our brothers and sisters in Japan stay strong while going through the hardships that the recent catastrophe have brought them. Let's keep in our prayers the current incidents happening in Libya, too. But of course, as little earthlings, change must come with every little step that we do. Let's start in our community. Once again, do not forget UBD FM SMARTER Race and Bazaar, Twestival Brunei and EARTH Hour 2011.
